We’ve been working with concrete in Jacksonville for years, and we know how to get the job done right the first time. Our crew shows up on time, works hard, and leaves your property clean when we’re done. We use high-quality materials so your concrete will last for decades, even in Florida’s heat and heavy rain. Whether you want a simple driveway or a custom stamped patio, we’ll guide you through every step so you know exactly what to expect. Most of our work comes from happy customers telling friends and neighbors about us — that’s the best proof we do great work.
concrete’s what we do. all day, everyday. you call JK Concrete Contractor, and you ain’t gettin’ some random crew off craigslist. nah – we the real deal. been pourin’ slabs for years round here. we know the dirt, the heat, the way rain comes outta nowhere. that stuff matters when you work with concrete.
we do:
don’t matter if you just need a small lil’ patch or a full backyard poured – we on it. and fast too. concrete don’t wait, and neither do we.
yep, we also work like a regular contractor when it comes to the big jobs. like you doin’ a new garage? or turnin’ that old carport into a room? you gotta have a solid slab underneath. that’s us.
lotta times we team up with other contractors too. framers, electricians, roofers – we all work together to get the job done. but our part? makin’ sure that concrete base don’t move, don’t crack, and don’t sink. ever seen a crooked patio that looks like a mini skateboard ramp? yeah, that’s what happens when folks don’t call us.
had one client in Mandarin, she was tryna build a lil art studio out back. her last guy messed it all up – slab was sloped so bad her desk kept rollin’ away. we re-poured it proper, leveled it out, now her paintbrush don’t roll off the table no more.
we ain’t just some guys with a truck and a mixer. JK Concrete Contractor works like a full-on construction company too. we handle the whole setup – from the forms to the rebar to the last lil’ finishin’ touch with the broom or stamp.
got a room addition? we pour them foundations.
doin’ a new build from scratch? we handle all the slab work.
tearin’ out old stuff? we got demo tools ready.
we bring in bobcats, haul trucks, dump trailers – the works. you might see us out near Southside or Arlington with the crew runnin’ machines, workin’ fast before the rain comes. if you hear that loud beep beep beep and see fresh concrete goin’ down? yep, that’s probably us.
“called JK to fix our cracked driveway in arlington. they showed up on time, explained everything in plain talk, and the new concrete looks way better than before. no more tripping over that big ol’ crack. would hire again.”
“they poured a slab for our shed out in westside. super solid job. the guy even helped level out a weird slope we didn’t know was gonna be a problem. these folks actually care how it turns out.”
“foundation was crackin’ bad on our rental house. jk concrete came out fast, gave a fair price, and got it fixed in two days. no nonsense, no mess left behind. just good work.”
“we had ‘em do a stamped patio in the backyard. looks amazing now — totally changed how the space feels. they even matched the color we wanted without makin’ it look fake. 10/10.”
“garage slab was all uneven. jk concrete came out, tore the old one, and poured it fresh. no more wobble when i roll in. solid crew. didn’t waste time.”

folks always say, “i shoulda called you guys first.” don’t be like them. call JK Concrete Contractor and get it done right the first time.
kinda depends what you need, but most times folks pay like $130 to $160 per yard for ready-mix concrete ’round here. now, that’s just the concrete. ya still gotta pay for labor, prep, tools, all that. so like for a full driveway? you lookin’ at a few thousand bucks easy.
probably CEMEX or LafargeHolcim or one of them big guys. they all over the world, sellin’ concrete in big ol’ trucks. we ain’t them – we local. we small but fast. we care if your dog gets outta the yard while we workin’. them big companies? not so much.
honestly? most folks just say concrete guy 😂 but if you wanna sound real smart, they call us concrete finishers or cement masons. but around here? just say “call JK Concrete Contractor” and people know what you mean.
same thing as a concrete contractor really. people mix up cement and concrete all the time. cement’s just one part of the mix. concrete’s the whole shebang – sand, gravel, cement, water. so when folks say cement contractor, they usually mean someone like us who pours and finishes concrete.
alright, so 400 sq ft’s like a small patio or driveway. around Jacksonville, that could run you anywhere from $3,000 to $5,000 dependin’ on thickness, prep, and finish. plain gray’s cheaper. if you want stamped or colored? add some dollars on top.
most places charge somewhere between $130 to $160 per yard for ready mix, just for the material. and that’s before any delivery fees or labor. you’ll need about 5 yards for a small driveway, maybe more if it’s thick.
oh boy, depends who you ask. some say CEMEX, some say Lafarge, some folks even say UltraTech but that’s in other countries. honestly though, it don’t really matter. what matters is who’s pourin’ it – and we make sure whatever brand we use comes out smooth, strong, and don’t crack.
ha, most bricklayers just call it mortar. now, mortar’s like cement’s cousin – it’s made with cement, but it’s smoother and got no rocks in it. perfect for stickin’ bricks together. sometimes they’ll say “mud” too, like “mix up some mud.” don’t get confused though – you ain’t makin’ real mud pies.
that’s just a fancy way of sayin’ how contractors pour concrete the right way. we prep the ground, lay the forms, toss in some rebar or mesh, then mix and pour the concrete. gotta finish it right too – like screedin’, floatin’, edgin’, and broomin’. not just dumpin’ and prayin’ 😅. good contractors got a whole step-by-step flow so your slab don’t crack or sink later.
